The journey began with the vision to bring secure, and scalable enterprise-grade solutions on-chain. In March 2023, the launch of the Coreum mainnet marked a significant milestone in the evolving landscape of blockchain technology.

Coreum emerged as a Layer-1 Superledger, built on the Cosmos SDK, delivering unparalleled speeds, interoperability, ISO2022 compliance, and scalability for economic transactions with programmable Smart Tokens.

Coreum concluded the year on a high note, experiencing remarkable ecosystem growth within just eight months of its inception. In this article, we will delve into the components that constitute Coreum’s Superledger Ecosystem.

Coreum’s Superledger Ecosystem in 8 Months

Coreum’s DeFi in 2023

In its pursuit of ecosystem expansion, Coreum integrated with major DeFi protocols, offering users a diverse range of on-chain solutions.

Closing out the year, Coreum successfully integrated with six DEXs, lending and borrowing protocols, and liquid staking protocols such as Osmosis, OnXRP, TFM, and Changelly. The integration with Osmosis includes a liquidity pool of 1 million units of $COREUM in Osmosis, and the integration with TFM introduced cross-chain swaps between over 100 Cosmos SDK appchains. Additionally, the Coreum Foundation anticipates the 2024 launch of the first two native DEXs, Pulsara & Whelp.

Coreum’s CeFi in 2023

Coreum’s expansion into the realm of centralized finance is gaining momentum as it forges connections with prominent exchanges spanning diverse regions. The foray into Asia is highlighted by strategic partnerships with Gate.io, the foremost exchange in South Korea, with Bitrue, a leading exchange in Singapore and Europe, and with Uphold, solidifying its presence in the United States. Additionally, Coreum has established pivotal collaborations with key partners such as Bitmart, Poloniex, Bitpanda, and CoinDCX, further strengthening its position in the global financial landscape.

Coreum’s Wallets in 2023

To promote accessibility, Coreum has seamlessly integrated with a diverse range of wallets, catering to users that prefer both cold & hot wallet storage.

Noteworthy hot wallet integrations include Metamask through Leap Wallet, FoxWallet, Citadel One, Frontier, and Cosmostation. Meanwhile, cold wallets like Ledger, Airgap, and Dcent also support Coreum assets. These integrations not only provide users with a secure environment but also empower them to effortlessly engage with decentralized applications, unlocking the complete array of secure decentralized finance (DeFi) instruments with user-friendly interfaces.

Coreum’s Interoperability in 2023

Coreum promotes interoperability at the native level by deploying the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol, enabling Coreum to communicate, store data, and transfer assets to 100+ networks that deploy the IBC protocol.

To advance the IBC protocol, Coreum will be deploying it on the XRP Ledger, enriching the broader industry, and specifically the Sologenic Ecosystem.

Enabling the bridging of native assets like $XRP and $SOLO to Coreum opens avenues for projects to enhance functionality for assets and initiatives on the XRPL. This is being achieved utilizing CosmWasm smart contracts and Smart Token issuance. This is a game changer if you hold assets on the XRP Ledger.

Active bridges with Osmosis, Kujira, Secret Network, Band Protocol, Evmos, Axelar, Gravity, and Cosmos Hub + More, demonstrate Coreum’s commitment to smooth traversal across IBC-supported chains within a multi-chain environment.

Coreum’s Frameworks in 2023

ISO20022 Compliance: The integration of ISO20022 compliance into Coreum’s architecture ensures compatibility with enterprise standards, a crucial aspect for businesses engaging in blockchain-based operations and companies building on Coreum.

Coreum’s Community Initiatives

The foundation of Coreum’s success lies in its dynamic and committed community. Key initiatives including Airdrops, Grant programs, University Accelerator Programs, Hackathons, and Bounties have played a crucial role in community development.

Airdrops and Grants Programs

An Airdrop, distributing a total of 100,000,000 COREUM tokens, served as a powerful incentive for active community involvement throughout the year. Additionally, three waves of grant programs provided essential support to developers, catalyzing innovation and collaboration on Coreum.

This support has paved the way for the launch of projects built on Coreum, such as Bidds, LunarSpace, Whelp, and Pulsara, all of which contribute to the implementation of advanced Smart Token features.

Moreover, with an ever-expanding network featuring over 60 active validators, Coreum is actively promoting security and decentralization within the realm of public networks. This commitment reflects the network’s dedication to maintaining a robust and resilient ecosystem.

Hackathons and Bounties

Coreum actively sponsors and participates in Web3-focused events, launching hackathons such as Eth Toronto, Consensus, and EBC9. Additionally, partnerships with Dora Hacks and Immunefi demonstrate Coreum’s commitment to fostering innovation through tailored bounties and bug bounty programs.
