LZero, a platform for blockchain network simulations and virtual testnets, is now live on Coreum. The launch provides developers and institutions with an efficient tool to create, test, and optimise Coreum Apps on private, customized and performant testnets before deploying on mainnet. LZero brings an instant 10x improvement in developer cost and time to mainnet launch.

LZero creates highly configurable, private testnets, with unlimited faucets, realistic transaction history and comprehensive tooling, deployable locally or in the cloud.

  • Custom Node Configurations: Users can specify parameters like CPU, memory, storage, and node versions.
  • Custom Platform Parameters: Users can configure pre-generated accounts and validators with their respective staking amounts.
  • Realistic Simulations: Simulation of Coreum with distributed nodes. Spin up scalable networks with any combinations of previously created node configurations.
  • Enterprise Grade: Cloud-based solution that can deploy or shut down networks on demand, simulating thousands of nodes and transactions for your dApp.

How to Set Up a Testnet on LZero

Setting up a testnet on LZero is straightforward. Follow the LZero documentation for detailed steps on how to create a network. To create your first new network, visit https://lzeroanalytics.com. Once signed up, Click on “Create a network” and follow the on-screen process to configure the network.

  1. Node Configuration:
  • Customize your network nodes with parameters like CPU, memory, and storage.

2. Create a Network:

  • Name your network and provide a description.
  • Choose or create node configurations. Specify the number of nodes for each configuration.

3. Deploy the Network:

  • Set additional parameters like chain ID and block size. Launch the network, which will be created in the cloud.
  • Monitor real-time progress and access logs.

4. Interact with the Network:

  • Use the Block Explorer and Grafana dashboard for insights. Access terminals for each node to send transactions and deploy applications. Utilize RPC ports for integration with external applications.

5. Manage Resources:

  • Easily delete networks when they are no longer needed, freeing up cloud resources.

How to use your Networks on LZero

Once you have created your first Coreum network on LZero, you can use the platform to test your dApps.

  1. Connect your wallet: Follow the steps here and use the unlimited faucet in the platform to fund your account. Alternatively, you can also use one of the pre-generated addresses
  2. Deploy Smart Contracts: You can simply use any of your network’s nodes to deploy your own smart contracts. Follow the documentation here on how to connect your web application to your own network and deploy your first smart contract.
